Gary, IN – Burger Planet now offers a healthy choice menu. Jayne Petersen, a fitness guru to celebrities, is helping Burger Planet get the message out to their consumers. Burger Planet is famous for their burgers, fries and soda. Now customers have the option of healthy eating.
Jayne Petersen, CEO of Looking Glass Inc., started out as an aerobic instructor and has starred in a series of workout videos. She’s become well known for helping talk show host, Opal Whitcomb, lose 75 pounds.
Petersen will help Burger Planet with publicity and advertising on eating healthy. Pairing up with Petersen is Corny the Clown, mascot of Burger Planet. Together, they will travel around the country appearing at restaurants and malls to promote healthy living. Petersen will be working with the chef to make their products as healthy as possible. She will develop tray liners offering nutritional advice. She is developing a new adult Burger Planet Smiley Meal, which includes a white chicken entrée, fruit packages, and an ankle weight.
In the past year, Burger Planet has added white meat chicken breast to their menu. The customers have the option to have their chicken wrapped in lettuce rather than bread. Consumers will also have the choice of five different fruits: apples, grapes, peaches, pineapple, or bananas. New gourmet salads having 150 calories, without the dressing, will also be offered.
James E. Muellenbach I founded Burger Planet in 1934. Burger Planet has served 52 billion customers, and has 8,921 franchises in every state.
