PNS 2 : Fire

Ogden UT - A fire blazed through Pedro’s Restaurant on 21st Street and Washington Boulevard yesterday afternoon. The fire department responded to the call at 2:00 p.m.

The fire started in the kitchen at Pedro’s from grease on the stove. “I grabbed the fire extinguisher and tried to put it out,” the owner of the restaurant, Pedro Sanchez stated. Pedro Sanchez sustained minor burns to his hands.

Miguel Sanchez and his two little girls Mercedes, age 4, and Maria, age 2, lived in the apartment above the restaurant when the fire broke out. They weren’t injured very badly, but were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Michael Freeman, an Ogden resident, had just finished up with his lunch when he saw fire coming out of the kitchen. “ I just got out of there,” the 16-year-old said. When Michael got out of the restaurant he called 911 and the firemen were there within 10 minutes.

Well done! I liked how you stated where it was in the beginning, very professional. Good use of quotes and it was smooth and informative... the end kinda seemed open... if that makes sense, like there is no closure... how did the fire end? was everyone evacuated alright? and was the fire really "blazing" haha, just a though. But all together, well written!
